HIP Tomintoul 12 yo 20cl

The HIP Tomintoul 12 Year Old is a single-cask Speyside whisky released as part of HIP’s Door to Discovery series, presented in a handy 20cl bottle.

Distilled at Tomintoul Distillery and matured for 12 years, this expression has been drawn from a single refill sherry butt. The cask allows Tomintoul’s fruit-driven character to remain prominent while introducing additional layers of sweetness, cocoa, nuts and gentle spice.

The nose leads with playful strawberry lace aromas, followed by cocoa and walnut alongside ripe pear, honey and vanilla. On the palate, the whisky becomes smooth and rounded, bringing together orchard fruits and butterscotch with a subtle touch of baking spice.

The finish is long and gently warming, with soft oak and a delicate sweetness lingering after the fruit begins to fade.

Bottled at 46% ABV, the Tomintoul 12 Year Old is presented at natural colour and without chill filtration, helping preserve the character of the whisky directly from the cask.
