HIP Bowmore 13 yo 20cl

The HIP Bowmore 13 Year Old is a characterful Islay single malt that balances gentle coastal smoke with citrus freshness and creamy Bourbon-cask sweetness.

Distilled at Bowmore Distillery and matured for 13 years in refill Bourbon barrels, this release has been created from a vatting of three barrels. The refill casks allow the distillery character to remain at the forefront, bringing together smoke, maritime notes and fresh citrus without becoming overly peat-heavy.

The nose opens with vanilla and smoked salt, followed by ashy smoke and a bright squeeze of lemon. On the palate, the whisky remains approachable and nicely balanced, with earthy burnt grass and light brine complemented by citrus and smooth vanilla cream.

The finish introduces subtle oak alongside sea spray and lingering herbaceous notes, leaving behind a gently smoky and coastal character.

Bottled at 46% ABV, the Bowmore 13 Year Old is presented at natural colour and without chill filtration. Offered in a compact 20cl bottle as part of HIP's Drink Better, Not Bigger series, it's an excellent way to explore a mature independently bottled Bowmore in a smaller format.
