Glenfarclas 185th Anniversary Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 70cl, 46% vol.

The new Glenfarclas whisky was released this month to mark 185 years since the producer began legally distilling in May 1836.

Two thirds of the liquid has been matured in Spanish Sherry oak casks. The remaining liquid has been matured into normal oak casks. The casks used to make the whisky span six decades.

Glenfarclas is celebrated as one of the finest distilleries in Speyside. Known for its distinctive heavy single malt, it employs direct-fired stills and predominantly matures its whisky in Jerez sherry casks. This dedication to single malt, coupled with the distillery's cool microclimate, ensures minimal loss to the "angels' share," resulting in an exceptional depth of stock. Glenfarclas also played a pivotal role in popularising cask strength whisky, with their renowned 105 proof expressions first introduced in 1968.
