Edradour 10 year old miniature. A 20cl bottle.
Scotland’s smallest distillery - and its staff of just three men - produce some of the sweetest flavours in the Highlands. Plump, juicy sultanas in moist, freshly-baked Christmas cake cry out from the glass, with a little aromatic pipe tobacco and liquorice. The thickness of the mouthfeel says treacle, molasses, melting fruit and nut: it is almost cloying, perhaps a little soapy, approaching rum in flavour. A short and drying finish, with fruitcake morphing into cough syrup. Edradour’s small stills and sherry casks combine to create a whisky of exceptional sweetness with a great deal of complexity for its ten years.
