From the high-elevation terroir of Bradford Mountain (385 m above sea level in Dry Creek Valley), this Zinfandel 2019 is a masterclass in mountain-grown expression. Crafted from estate-grown grapes, 95% Zinfandel with a touch of Petite Sirah, this bottling reveals the refined intensity and structure that define mountain fruit.
Peterson Winery Bradford Mountain Estate Vineyard - Zinfandel 2019 on the nose, you’re greeted by opulent dark berry aromas that glide into spicy black pepper and a mineral undercurrent. Structured and elegant, these mountain-grown berries bring freshness and depth. The blend is barrel-aged for 25 months across French, Hungarian, and neutral oak barrels—20% each in new French and Hungarian, and 60% neutral—to build complexity without overpowering the fruit.
The palate follows with layers of lush blackberry and plum, wrapped in savoury black pepper and mineral tension. The finish is long and supple, with balanced oak integration and a refined elegance that speaks to the craft behind the bottle.
This Zinfandel is a superb companion to grilled steaks, earthy stews, or aged cheeses, a bottle that captures both place and power with polish.
