A 2016 Vintage red wine from the Alella region in north-east Spain.
The Parvus Syrah is a wine that perfectly demonstrates the good adaptation of the Syrah grape to Catalan terroir and, especially, in Alella. With aromas of violets and blackberries, plums and pepper.
The family-run project of Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets and Cristina Guillén. After travelling half way round the world making wine, from Allela to the Penedès, spending time in the Priorat, La Rioja, and the Ribera del Duero, and also in France and Italy as technical director for the Martini Group, Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets managed to reconcile work and family with his passion for wine at his new estate of Can Genís (1991), where “transparent” wines are made: wines that reflect the character of the terrain and climate and give a very clear indication of the personality of each variety, each wine, and each vintage.
Nose - Good aromatic intensity which highlight the aromas of
violet, ripe black fruit (blackberry, plum) with the balsamic and
spicy characteristics of the Syrah variety, as well as the aging in
barrel.
Palate - Recalling the aromas of ripe fruit with a salty and
audacious touch. Quite gastronomic wine with a fresh and modern
finish
