Monkey Shoulder Whisky (70cl 40%) 

Turning malted barley by hand is hard work.  Nevertheless, it was the most common way of drying out the barley prior to mechanical means, and the repetitive shovelling gave many distillery workers a hunched back and an aching shoulder.  The affliction became known as "monkey shoulder", and now gives its name to this smooth and refined blended malt from William Grant & Sons.

Monkey Shoulder is a "triple malt", in that it consists of malt whisky from three of William Grant's Dufftown distilleries:  Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie.  The whisky is produced in batches of just 27 casks each time, to maintain a high standard.
