A light yet very complex whisky, it exemplifies the whisky style typical of the Scottish lowlands, gentle and full of character.
Nose: A malty and crisp nose opens with fresh green apples leading on to a sweet vanilla note akin to buttercream icing. Lighter floral notes appear alongside a deeper peppery oak adding some intriguing depth.
Palate:Â The first sip brings floods of fresh peaches and banana milkshake together with honey and just a hint of pleasing fiery ginger. A deeper toffee flavour begins to envelope the mouth and plays well with a more savoury hay characteristic to round out the sip.
Finish: A lingering sweet finish that leaves the essence of rhubarb and custard sweets on the tongue.
A belter of a dram. A lovely, delicate palate with notes of tropical fruits, vanilla and light oak. Perfect for a warm summers day.
