Lindores Thiron 2024 Limited Edition

The Lindores Thiron 2024 Limited Edition marks the beginning of an annual series of exclusive releases from Lindores Abbey Distillery. This special edition has been in the works for over eight years. Inspired by the historical connection between Lindores Abbey and the town of Thiron-Gardais in France. The birthplace of the monks who established the Abbey in 1191.

In 2016, the Lindores team visited Thiron-Gardais, where they first discovered the Thiron Oak. These trees would play a pivotal role in this unique whisky. The Lindores Thiron 2024 Limited Edition features a blend of Lindores’ award-winning spirit.

Firstly, matured in casks crafted from these Thiron Oaks, alongside selected STR and Bourbon casks. The result is an exceptional Lowland Scotch Whisky, rich in flavor, with a nose and palate that offer a journey through history.

This limited edition is a tribute to the Tironensian monks' legacy. Celebrating their contributions to Lindores Abbey and the enduring bond between Thiron Abbey and Lindores Abbey. The Lindores Thiron 2024 Limited Edition is not just a whisky—it's a collector’s item.

As a gesture of sustainability, the oaks used in crafting this whisky have been replaced with new trees, planted in the Abbey gardens of Thiron-Gardais by Drew and Helen McKenzie Smith.
