Glenallachie 11yo - Marsala Wine Finish (UK Exclusive). Crafted exclusively for the UK, this intricately layered bronze malt underwent an initial aging of over 8 years in high-quality American oak ex-Bourbon barrels. To enhance its richness and flavour profile, the whisky then underwent a finishing period of approximately 42 months in carefully chosen Marsala casks.
Derived from the fortified wine produced on the Italian island of Sicily, these Marsala barrels have imparted a well-rounded palate brimming with sweet fruits and smooth caramel. The result is a velvety mouthfeel and a lingering finish, creating a whisky experience that is truly exceptional.
Nose: Bursting with heather honey, vanilla and stewed fruit, with notes of liquorice, butterscotch and roasted nuts.
Taste: Lashings of apricot, toffee and honeycomb, followed by hints of caramelised brown sugar, walnut and crème brûlée.
