Design Berlin Amber ll Straight Pipe

The Design Berlin Amber II Straight Pipe pairs a traditional briar shape with a striking marbled acrylic mouthpiece that gives the range its distinctive character.

The straight Apple-inspired design features a broad, rounded bowl with a gently tapering rim and short, straight shank. Finished in a smooth brown polish, the briar remains clearly visible beneath the stain, allowing its natural grain and figuring to provide plenty of individual character. As with all briar pipes, variations in grain and colouring mean that each example will be slightly different.

It's the mouthpiece, however, that really sets the Amber II apart. The marbled acrylic combines golden honey, cream and darker flecks to recreate the appearance of natural amber, with the pattern running throughout the material. A small white DB emblem provides a neat finishing detail.

Separating the warm brown briar from the amber-coloured acrylic is a broad polished metal mount. Its bright finish creates a clean visual break between the two materials and gives the pipe a smart three-part appearance.

At 149mm long and weighing 44g, the Amber II Straight offers comfortable, familiar proportions while still making a strong visual statement. It is also drilled for a 9mm filter, making it compatible with the widely available filter format used throughout much of the Design Berlin range.
