Brio de Cantenac . Experience a breath of fresh enthusiasm at Château Cantenac Brown, thanks to the arrival of the "Famille Le Lous." From vine to bottle, they've left no stone unturned, employing every method to craft one of Margaux's finest wines. Their vines awakened early in mid-March, and despite heavy rains in June, the Médoc skies eventually opened up to welcome periods of sunshine, allowing the Merlot and Cabernet to flourish.
The dry weather, coupled with hot days, persisted into mid-August, bringing about restrained hydration that jump-started ripening. September's wind and heat wave in the final ripening phase led to a unique fruit concentration. The generous sun during harvest resulted in a beautiful vintage. With an unusual grape composition, we meticulously monitored the ripening's last phase.
Fermentation at lower temperatures (4-5 degrees Celsius) preserved the fruit aromatics without over-extracting tannins. In 2020, we proudly introduced the "Grand Cabernet Sauvignon" from the Margaux plateau and the "Enclos de Cantenac Brown" into our blend. Explore the distinctive character of our carefully crafted vintage and savour the culmination of our dedication to quality winemaking.
