Vigía, named after the watchtowers in the Cuban city of Trinidad used to observe sugarcane fields, captures the essence of vigilance and tradition. The brand itself, Trinidad, derives its name from the beautiful 16th-century city of La Santisima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity), a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on Cuba's south coast.

The Trinidad brand dates back to 1969 and shares a prestigious history with Cohiba. Initially, Trinidad cigars were crafted exclusively for diplomatic gifts. It wasn't until 1998 that they were made available to the general public, and even then, in limited quantities.

Evolution of Trinidad

• Initial Offering: The brand originally featured only one size: Fundadores.
• 2003 Expansion: Three new sizes were introduced—Reyes, Coloniales, and Robusto Extra. Along with this expansion, the brand’s livery and cigar band were updated to reflect its esteemed status.
• 2009 Addition: The Trinidad Robusto T was added to the lineup, further enhancing the range.

The cigars are renowned for their uniquely fragrant and aromatic, medium-flavoured blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone, a region celebrated for producing the finest tobacco in Cuba.
