The Savinelli Vigna Liscia Rustic 642 combines a deeply bent Apple shape with the rich, wine-inspired colours that characterise Savinelli's distinctive Vigna series. Finished in a warm burgundy rustication, the pipe has plenty of texture and character while retaining the traditional Italian styling for which Savinelli is so well known.
The 642 is an unusually shaped bent Apple with clear influences from classic Irish pipe design. Its rounded bowl flows into a thick, cylindrical shank, giving the pipe a substantial appearance and a reassuring feel in the hand. The pronounced bend is one of the defining characteristics of this model, positioning the bowl low and helping the pipe feel remarkably light and comfortable when held in the mouth.
A rugged rusticated finish adds depth to the burgundy stain while providing a tactile contrast to the smooth acrylic mouthpiece. A slim gold-coloured band separates the briar from the stem, adding a subtle decorative detail without distracting from the pipe's distinctive silhouette.
The Vigna series is completed by its unmistakable acrylic stem, with swirling shades ranging from red and burgundy through to dark purple. Each stem is individually crafted, meaning the exact pattern will vary naturally between pipes while retaining the same characteristic colour palette.
At approximately 53g, the Vigna 642 is a substantial yet comfortable bent Apple with plenty of personality, combining traditional shaping with a colourful contemporary finish.
