The Romeo y Julieta Piramides Anejados 2016 House Reserve is a rare and highly refined expression of one of Cuba’s most enduring and recognisable marcas. Presented in a dressed box of 25 cigars, this limited Aged & Rare release combines the elegance of Romeo y Julieta with the depth and complexity that only extensive long-term maturation can deliver.

Originally part of Habanos S.A.’s Añejados programme, these cigars were aged in Cuba for a minimum of five to eight years before being selected for further refinement. This particular release has since undergone an additional decade of ageing within Hunters & Frankau’s UK warehouse, resulting in a truly exceptional double maturation process rarely seen in Cuban cigars.

Produced entirely by hand using long filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, the Pirámides vitola offers a tapered format that naturally concentrates and evolves flavour throughout the smoke. As part of the House Reserve collection, each box has been inspected by Habanos S.A. technicians, stamped “Revisado”, and certified with a signed release certificate. Each cigar is finished with an Aged & Rare footband confirming its provenance and extended maturation.

Romeo y Julieta is renowned for its balanced and harmonious profile, often described as a cigar where complexity exists without any single dominant note. With age, this Pirámides expression has softened further, transforming its original structure into something smoother, more integrated and more nuanced.
