The Lochlea 7 Year Old Limited Edition marks a significant milestone for this independent Ayrshire farm distillery, celebrating seven years of dedicated whisky making from field to bottle. Produced as a true single estate expression, every drop is crafted from barley grown on Lochlea’s own land, then distilled, matured and nurtured entirely on site.

This release reflects both progress and patience, offering a deeper and more evolved expression of the distillery’s character. While unmistakably Lochlea in style, it shows a greater level of maturity, with richer layers of fruit and a quietly confident complexity shaped by time in oak.

On the nose, it opens with a beautifully creamy character, led by soft stewed apple and gentle orchard fruit. The palate is rounded and expressive, bringing together rich creaminess, tropical fruit notes and fresh green apple, supported by subtle oak influence.

As it develops, the whisky reveals buttery pastry tones and warm cereal notes, underpinned by a gentle, building spice that adds structure without overpowering the fruit-led profile. The finish is clean yet warming, with lingering apple brightness and soft spice carrying through.
