La Gloria Cubana Britanicas Extra Box of 10

The La Gloria Cubana Britanicas Extra is a rare Cuban release originally created as the 2017 UK Habanos Regional Edition, presented here in its original numbered box of 10 cigars.

Production was limited to just 6,000 individually numbered boxes, making the Britanicas Extra an especially collectable release from La Gloria Cubana. Originally intended for release in 2017, its arrival was delayed until 2020, by which time anticipation among collectors had grown considerably.

Measuring 5⅜ inches (137mm) with a 48 ring gauge, the Britanicas Extra is distinguished by its unusual shape. Classified as a figurado, its factory vitola is known as a perfecto, featuring a rounded body tapering towards a pointed head. The demanding format requires considerable skill from the torcedores entrusted with its production.

The shape also has historical significance, drawing inspiration from a format seen in Cuba during the early 20th century. Its presentation continues this historic theme, with bands recreated from original La Gloria Cubana artwork believed to date from the late 1890s or early 20th century.

In flavour, expect an elegant mild-to-medium profile, beginning with cedar, toast and delicate floral notes before developing coffee, cream, light earth and subtle spice.
