Established in 1960, Macduff Distillery began distillation in 1963 with two stills. Over the years, the distillery expanded, adding a third still in 1966, a fourth in 1968, and a fifth in 1990, reaching its current total of five stills. Located near the coastal town of Macduff on the banks of the River Deveron, Macduff Distillery is a cornerstone of Highland malt whisky production.

The official bottling of Macduff malt whisky is known as Glen Deveron, while independent bottlers label it as Macduff, offering whisky enthusiasts a variety of choices to explore.

Nose: The aroma features a delicate balance of nuttiness and refined oak. Notes of almond and hazelnut with dried apricots and a hint of orange peel. The coastal origin brings maritime saltiness.
Palate: The palate offers a robust yet refined flavour profile. Initial sweetness of dried fruits transitions to a zesty orange and lemon peel, providing a crisp, refreshing contrast. The nutty undertones deepen into a full-bodied walnut and pecan flavour, complemented by hints of vanilla and peppery spice.
