Design Berlin Baltic Sea Half Bent Pipe

The Design Berlin Baltic Sea Half Bent Pipe offers an elegant interpretation of the classic Dublin shape, combining a tall, gently tapered bowl with a subtle half-bent profile.

The bowl rises to 50mm, narrowing gradually towards the heel to create the characteristic Dublin silhouette. Rather than pairing this with a completely straight stem, Design Berlin has introduced a gentle bend through the glossy black acrylic mouthpiece. This softens the pipe's upright proportions while retaining the clean, traditional lines of the shape.

Its smooth polished briar is finished in lighter honey, chestnut and warm brown tones, allowing plenty of the natural grain to remain visible. The taller bowl provides an excellent canvas for the grain, with long streaks running vertically through the briar.

Separating the warm wood from the black acrylic mouthpiece is the Baltic Sea range's polished Army-style metal mount, adding a distinctive contemporary detail. Design Berlin's small gold-coloured db emblem completes the stem.

Introduced in 2026, the Baltic Sea collection is produced for Design Berlin by an experienced Italian pipe workshop using selected briar and acrylic mouthpieces.

At 141mm long and weighing just 41g, this is a nicely balanced half-bent pipe with plenty of presence without feeling excessively large. It is also drilled to accept a 9mm filter.
