The Linea 1492, originally consisting of five sizes - Siglo I, II, III, IV and V before the VI was introduced in 2002, were expressly introduced to mark Columbus's 500th Anniversary and each Siglo (which means 'Century' in Spanish) commemorates one the five subsequent centuries.
The Linea 1492 is classified as medium flavoured and remains the lightest flavoured line of Cohibas.
Cohiba Siglo VI has a smooth cream throughout with under tones of cococa, leather, and earthiness.The finish stays creamy with added spiciness.

The leaves for Cohiba cigars are the “selection of the selection” from the 5 finest Vegas de Primera in San Juan y Martinez and San Luis districts of the Vuelta Abajo zone.
Uniquely amongst Habanos up to three of Cohiba’s fillers leaves, the seco, ligero and the rare medio tiempo undergo an additional fermentation in barrels. This unique process produces a special aroma and flavour you will only find in Cohiba.
In 1992 five new sizes to create the Linea 1492 to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Columbus’s arrival in Cuba before one further size, the iconic Siglo VI, was added in 2002.
