The Cuban Revolution brought significant changes to the cigar industry. In 1960, the Cuban government nationalised the Partagás factory, among others. Ramón Cifuentes Toriello, whose family had been instrumental in the brand's success, chose to leave Cuba rather than work under the new regime. He later re-established the Partagás brand in the Dominican Republic, ensuring its survival and continued excellence. 

Dual Identity: Cuban and Dominican

Today, Partagás operates under two distinct identities: the original Cuban brand produced by Habanos S.A. and the Dominican version crafted by General Cigar Company. While both share a commitment to quality, they offer unique experiences.​
