Clos Troteligotte K-Lys Cahors 2022 (Organic) is a bold and expressive Malbec from one of Cahors’ most forward-thinking producers. Crafted by Emmanuel Rybinski at a 16 hectare family estate positioned on an iron-rich plateau at the southern edge of the Cahors appellation, this wine reflects both a distinctive terroir and a deep commitment to sustainable viticulture. Since 2014 the estate has been certified organic, with biodynamic practices introduced shortly after in 2015, reinforcing a philosophy centred on respect for the land and long term environmental balance.

The vineyard is predominantly planted with Malbec, supported by a small proportion of Merlot, creating a blend that enhances both structure and approachability. Each decision in the vineyard and winery is made with minimal intervention in mind, allowing the character of the site to come through clearly in the final wine. The result is a Cahors that feels modern in its precision while still grounded in tradition and place.

In the glass, K-Lys shows real depth and intensity. Dark fruit sits at the core, supported by layered complexity and a structured frame that gives the wine both weight and focus. There is a natural richness here, but it is balanced by a defined mineral edge that keeps everything in check. The palate builds gradually, revealing more detail as it opens, while the finish is long, persistent, and confidently structured.
