Spirit of Scotland Glen Grant 2010 is a finely matured single cask Speyside whisky that showcases the elegant and fruit driven style for which Glen Grant is so well regarded. Known as a staff favourite distillery, Glen Grant has built its reputation on producing consistently bright and approachable single malts, and this independent bottling allows that character to be explored in greater depth and complexity.
Part of the Spirit of Scotland range from James Gordon Whisky Co. Ltd. in Elgin, this release focuses on small batch, single cask whiskies presented in their most natural form. Drawn from a first fill sherry butt filled in 2010 and matured for 15 years, this expression has yielded 611 bottles in 2026. It is bottled un chill filtered and with no added colour, ensuring the whisky retains its full integrity and natural character as developed in the cask.
The influence of the first fill sherry butt is clearly present, adding richness, depth, and structure to Glen Grant’s naturally light and fruity spirit. Over 15 years of maturation, the whisky has developed layers of dried fruit sweetness, gentle spice, and soft oak influence, all working in harmony with the distillery’s signature orchard fruit profile. There is a refined balance throughout, with the sherry cask providing depth without overpowering the underlying freshness of the spirit.
This is a whisky that reflects patience and careful cask selection, offering a rounded and composed drinking experience that continues to evolve in the glass. It sits comfortably between elegance and richness, making it both approachable and rewarding for more experienced whisky drinkers.
