This mahogany malt delivers an exquisite blend of spicy and treacly flavours, meticulously matured in hogsheads crafted from spanish oak (quercus robur). Sourced from the cool, humid cantabrian mountains in galicia and asturias, this unique wood underwent a precise 18-month air-drying process before being toasted and charred to a medium level. This careful treatment opens up the oak, allowing this complex spirit to absorb its distinctive cask character.
