Riccitelli Malbec Vineyard Selection 2021
Attractive floral aroma with ripe black cherry and liquorice
The Riccitelli Malbec Vineyard Selection 2021 is a premium expression of Argentina's rich winemaking heritage. Crafted exclusively from old Malbec vines planted in the early 20th century. These ungrafted vines thrive in the clayey, stony, and limestone soils of Mendoza's most iconic sites, Las Compuertas and Vistalba.
Production:
Firstly, after hand-harvesting the grapes, the winemakers naturally gravity feed them into small concrete vats for fermentation. Then then use wild yeast at controlled temperatures of 26º to 28ºC. They then age the Riccitelli Malbec Vineyard Selection in French oak barrels for over a year, enhancing its complexity and depth.
History:
Matias Riccitelli, son of acclaimed winemaker Jorge Riccitelli, founded the winery in 2009. Drawing from his experience working in prestigious wineries across Argentina and the world. The Riccitelli Malbec Vineyard Selection 2021 reflects his dedication to showcasing the true potential of Argentine terroir, with vineyards spanning 50 hectares in the prime Lujan de Cuyo region.
This Malbec offers a dynamic and refined tasting experience, making it a standout choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
