The Punch Nectares No. 50 Irish Regional Edition is a significant Cuban cigar release, created in homage to the original Néctares line — a collection of six numbered cigars produced exclusively for James J. Fox prior to 1960, before being discontinued in the 1980s.
Launched in Dublin in June 2025, this cigar represents the first Regional Edition ever created for Ireland. Its development is the result of a collaboration between Ampersand (Habanos distributor for the Irish market), Hunters & Frankau, and Habanos S.A.
Production is strictly limited to 1,400 boxes, with a small additional allocation made available in 2026 for Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist retailers in the UK.
Manufactured in the vitola known within Habanos factories as Magnum 50, each cigar is finished with a bespoke band bearing the vitola name. Medium-bodied in character, the Néctares No. 50 showcases the classic Punch flavour profile — rounded, gently earthy, and subtly sweet — delivering a refined smoking experience of approximately one hour.
About the Brand:
Punch is one of the oldest Cuban cigar brands still in production, first registered in 1840. Today, Punch cigars are produced at the La Corona factory in Havana and are totally handmade using long filler tobaccos sourced exclusively from the famed Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del RÃo.
