Glen Scotia Icons of Campbeltown Release No. 2 – Dragon 14 Year Old (56.8% ABV)
This second chapter in Glen Scotia’s Icons of Campbeltown series draws inspiration from the legend of Saint Michael and his dragon, shaping a narrative of fire, resilience and community spirit. Icons Release No.2 is a 14-year-old single malt, matured in a traditional fashion but finished for six months in ex-Barolo red wine casks, giving it a distinct fruity depth.
Bottled at 56.8% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural colour, this is a robust, expressive whisky built for aficionados.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Ocean spray, red berries, and soft peat smoke
Palate: Melted brown sugar, raspberry, cranberry, apple, vanilla
Finish: Long, lingering red cherries with wisps of swirling peat smoke
The Icons series celebrates Campbeltown’s resilience, with this edition specifically honouring Glen Scotia’s survival through the fires that once ravaged the town.
