MacNair's Exploration Jamaican Rum, is a delightful rum crafted under the watchful eye of GlenAllachie's Master Blender, Billy Walker. With his esteemed reputation, anticipation runs high for this exceptional spirit. Distilled at Jamaica's Clarendon Distillery, this jamaican rum makes its journey to Scotland for maturation in the cooler climate. Following a meticulous 30-month rest in American and French ex-rye, ex-Rioja, and virgin oak casks, the individually matured rums with high, medium, and low ester levels are expertly blended and returned to similar casks for the finishing touch on their maturation. This innovative process showcases the artistry of thoughtful maturation and skilful blending, resulting in a truly remarkable rum.
Upon nosing, be greeted by a symphony of tropical fruit aromas, with syrupy pineapple, dried banana, and hints of vanilla pod enticing the senses. Silky caramel intertwines with sweet apple, creating a delightful bouquet that promises a rich palate experience.
On the palate, juicy pineapple and honeyed banana fritters take center stage, followed by the richness of citrus oils and the warmth of woody clove.
