Holding the country's highest wine classification as a Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC), this historic region is renowned for producing robust and characterful red wines. The carefully chosen barriques from the Douro Valley infuse this Speyside malt with a richness of both colour and flavour, offering decadent layers of dried stone fruits and delicate hints of warming spice.
The nose welcomes waves of plum jam, clementines, and dried red berries. Subtle notes of heather honey and vanilla spice add depth and complexity to the aroma.
